Life...

Life is busy and hectic and sometimes you just don't have a minute to do anything for yourself.  Scrapping is my creative outlet, it's one thing I do for myself.   It also helps me preserve and remember all those wonder times that I've had in my life.  During a rough time, it would help if I could scrap because all that happiness would come back to me.  I get these mostly daily emails that I wanted to point out because they have been a great inspiration for me when I open them.  The other day I got this one...

I've come a long way in 2 years...

Some of you might remember Design Star from ScrapMatters back in 2008.  I was one of the contestants...made it the last round but was eliminated.  I sold at Inspiration Lane for a little while but life got busy and I was kind of sad but stopped designing until now.  When SM said they were going to do Design Star again, I didn't know if I really wanted to sign up again.  I knew I had grown in my scrapping and that would work into designing but I still wasn't sure.  I thought about it and thought about it and decided what the heck! 

I made it to Round 2.  Two years ago, here were my papers...

Erica Zane is the bomb!!!

Erica sells at ScrapMatters and she has been coming out with some great kits...one right after each other.  This layout uses "sketchy" and the "bonus alpha".  LOVE the colors in this kit!!!

First post

So instead of trying to revitalize my old blog I decided I needed a whole new facelift so I started a new one.  So became...Scrappy Stef.  lol...not the best name but it has a ring to it.  I'm really trying to be a better blogger.  The designers that I CT for or even the kits that I purchase with my own money deserve some advertisement which is what I will try very hard to do.  I have not have much mojo lately with scrapbooking.  I have been going through a lot in my personal life and it has been hard to get things down on paper or in this case digital.  I also was CTing for ScrapMatters at the time and was able to use a lot of their kits.  I unfortunately do not have a lot of expendable income to spend on scrapbooking supplies so it helped to be on the creative team for the store that I loved the most.  Back when they were doing the next CT call, I decided to not reapply for the team since I had a lot going on and I wanted to give some other lucky women the chance to work with all the designers.  I am still a huge fan of SM and all of the designers there.  I started going through my stash and found that a couple kits that I had downloaded through the newsletter or that I purchased after I CTed there I had not used so I am trying to work up my mojo to get some scrapping done.
